BARÇA Academy PRO New York is the owned and operated FC Barcelona youth soccer academy in New York. It is an exclusive opportunity to learn the methodology and values from the unmatched Barça style and philosophy.

At the BARÇA Academy we work under FC Barcelona’s unique model, the same exact model that is applied in La Masia. Through this methodology we develop the creative and offensive style of play that brought Messi, Piqué, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Xavi, Iniesta and many other players to the elite. We also emphasize in our value’s transmission: Humility, Effort, Ambition, Respect and Teamwork.

Competition System

Competition is fundamental in the development process of youth soccer players. For this reason, at BARÇA Academy PRO New York we intend to play at the highest level in order to develop the best players in the region.

Leagues, scrimmages, national tournaments and international experiences are a key tool in player’s development.

At BARÇA Academy PRO New York teams are placed in the best competition, adapted to their level and age, so it represents a challenge for each player while he/she is able put in practice what is presented at the training sessions.

Also, the youngest ones, will participate into BARÇA Academy League, that will be played during the weekdays and will allows us to create a different and 100% controlled environment for the BA players.
Values

FC Barcelona’s methodology emphasizes in values’ education, helping the player become a better person while becoming a good soccer player. Barça’s core values on and off the field are: Humility, Effort, Ambition, Respect and Teamwork. Each player, family member and supporter is expected to carry these core values with them.

In the BA League, not only the goals counts, but also the values that the players reflect with their behaviours
Staff

Our Coaching Staff is led by Guillem Costa, Local Project Director of the BARÇA Academy PRO New York. He is a certified FC Barcelona coach that has worked for our Club since 2013.

Guillem was a coach at the Barça Academy in Barcelona for 2 years and he traveled a lot around the Globe teaching the Barça way during that period. His travels include countries like the US, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden or FYR Macedonia. After that period, he moved to Costa Rica to manage the Barça Academy in San José. Guillem is also a graduate in Sports Therapy and holds the UEFA A License.

Guillem, along with six Coordinators from FC Barcelona in Barcelona, lead the Technical Staff of the BARÇA Academy PRO New York, making sure that all players receive the best soccer and life education under the BARÇA methodology.
