After several years without a presence in China, Barça Academy is back in the country with a permanent project. The chosen city is Qingdao, where the club previously operated until 2020 and where a highly successful two-week summer camp was held this year. More than 200 boys and girls took part in football sessions led by Barça Academy coaches.

The new Barça Academy Qingdao will have two sites, one in the Laoshan district and another in Licang, providing greater accessibility for its young players.

Returning to China, a strategic market for Barça, is particularly significant in Qingdao, a city with a strong football culture and where the club will work with a partner with extensive knowledge of both the country and the game. Qingdao is a port city in eastern China with around 10 million inhabitants and hosted sailing events during the Beijing Olympic Games.
