Played in Miami, this latest edition of the legends Clásico ended in a 1-1 draw between Barça Legends and Real Madrid Leyendas. Martín Montoya put the blaugranes ahead after 70 minutes after an assist by Vidal, but Álvaro Negredo restored parity just two minutes later. The clash brought together some big names and legends of both clubs, creating a real nostalgic, big match feeling for the thousands of fans in attendance.

Blaugrana control

Barça Legends dominated the first half and created the clearest chances from the outset. After four minutes, Giuly made inroads down the right flank and Kluivert came very close to scoring. The Dutchman then had a shot from close to the penalty spot, but Contreras made a great save to prevent a goal. A few minutes later, the Real Madrid keeper again proved decisive, diverting another Kluivert shot onto the post, as the blaugranes continued to press.

Real Madrid Leyendas created little in the first half, with the only clear effort ending up in the back of the net before being ruled out for offside. The game was being played at a decent pace and Ronaldinho was one of the stars of the evening, receiving constant applause by the crowd in Miami. The all-whites did manage one more effort by Negredo before the break after a Balboa cross, but it was easily saved.

Second half goals

Real Madrid Leyendas managed to redress the balance in terms of possession after the break, but Barça continued to look dangerous. Giuly was involved again, forcing a corner, while Roger had a shot from outside the area. Nolito also had a great chance after controlling superbly in the box, but the all-whites' keeper stood firm. Nolito and Saviola combined soon after for Giuly to go close when right in front of goal.

The rewards for their efforts finally came in the 70th minute. Nolito started the move and Vidal provided the assist for Martín Montoya to finish with a deft touch to make it 0-1. The all-whites responded almost instantly, though, as a Víctor Morán cross saw Álvaro Negredo score to make it 1-1 after 72 minutes. Saviola almost latched on to a pass through the lines from Nolito to give the blaugranas victory close to the final whistle, but it wasn't to be, and this entertaining match ended 1-1.
