Around 60 young Australians have been on the pitches at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Barcelona for the past 10 days improving and honing their football skills. They had all previously taken part in campuses with blaugrana coaches organised by the Barça Academy in their country. The program aims to bring the FC Barcelona philosophy to young Australians and New Zealanders, combining football and Barça values.
Gavi was the big surprise in training today and had photos taken with them. The La Masia player is on the point of returning to the pitch after a knee injury and he said greeted all the young people, who couldn't believe the blaugrana star was right there with them.
Football and much more
In addition to the football experience at the blaugrana facilities, the young people visiting from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Orange, Geelong, Canberra, Gold Coast and Hobart will go to watch a match at the Spotify Camp Nou to see Hansi Flick's side in action, as well as enjoy different Catalan and Barcelona cultural experiences.
