Second edition of Barça Academy Partners Day

Second edition of Barça Academy Partners Day

Masia Oriol Tort Auditorium hosts the event

For the second year in a row, the Barça Academy has brought together its partners from around the world—those involved in its various academies and camps—to share and align working methods across projects, with the aim of improving the experiences offered to boys and girls in every city where Barça Academy is present.

The meeting was opened by Benny Megreli, Director of Barça Academy, who welcomed all the partners and thanked them for the trust they have placed in the club over the years. He also shared a vision for the future of Barça Academy and encouraged everyone to continue working in the same spirit in order to keep growing together within this strategic Barça project.

Experience-sharing talks

Carlos Palacín, Head of International Business, moderated the day’s first panel discussion. Teresa Neto, partner of Barça Academy Mexico; Achille Obogou, from Barça Academy USA; and Miki Alcón, from the Barça Camps in Australia and New Zealand, kicked off the day by discussing how they operate in their respective regions and sharing their experiences on building loyalty among the children who take part in their activities, among other topics.

After a short break, it was the turn of David Tisner, Head of Barça Academy Residency Arizona and of the six Barça academies in Japan; Umit Sahin, from Barça Academy Istanbul; and Janet Rivera, from Barça Academy Dominican Republic—all moderated by Pau Casassa, Technical Director of Barça Academy. This session focused on ways to build an ecosystem to encourage talent to emerge from within Barça Academies.

This second edition featured 26 partners that Barça Academy works with to extend the Barça methodology around the world.
