FC Barcelona and Spotify announced today that the Barça Academy Delhi, one of the four academies the Club operates in India, will team up with Spotify until 2026. As part of the existing agreement between FC Barcelona and Spotify, Spotify branding will appear on the Barça Academy Delhi shirts and training facilities. The Club and Spotify will also be working to bring the power of football and music together so the players and their families can enjoy a great experience on and off the field.
The Barça Academy Delhi has been in operation since the 2012/13 season and over 11 years has seen more than 12,000 children attend and learn the Barça style thanks to the coaches that share the Club’s unique way of playing football.
The Barça Academy project in India also includes three additional academies where more than 3,000 boys and girls join the facilities in the cities of Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. All the academies take part in annual competitions organized by Barça Academy, including: the APAC Cup (the most recent edition of which took place just a few weeks ago in Nara, Japan) and the Barça Academy World Cup, which takes place in Barcelona during Easter Week and last season celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Barça and Spotify signed a partnership agreement that began on 1 July 2022. As the Club’s main partner, the agreement allows Spotify’s name to appear on the blaugrana shirt until the end of the 2025/26 season.
