Barça’s final stop in the US provided a wonderful opportunity for 250 girls and boys from Barça Academy PRO New York. Barça Legends Juliano Belletti and Thierry Henry joined the youngsters at which another of the protagonists was the new partner of the Barça Academy PRO and Barça Residency Academy USA, Spotify, with the official presentation of their new shirt for the coming season.

Randall’s Island – Field 70 in New York was the venue for an event also attended by FC Barcelona’s vice-president for the sports area, Rafael Yuste; the board member for youth soccer, Joan Soler; the advisor to the president, Enric Masip, and Spotify’s Associate General Counsel, Steve Kim.

Belletti ran a training session that lasted and hour and a half with pupils from the soccer school that opened in the summer of 2017, the first PRO status academy in the country and which is fully managed both financially and in sporting terms by FC Barcelona. It currently has 500 young athletes, and its coaches and coordinators were all trained over various seasons at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
