FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with coach Lluís Cortés for the extension of his contract until 30 June 2022, with the option of a further season. When the sporting calendar allows, there will be an official event involving the signature of the contract that will tie the coach to the Club. 

34 year old Cortés is in his third season as the coach of Barça Women. He took over in January 2019 from Fran Sánchez to whom he had been assistant coach. Since then, with an attractive style of play to the fore, Barça have reached two Champions League finals and won a league title, a Copa del Reina title, a Spanish Super Cup and the Copa Catalunya.
