Three Barça Academy Local Project Managers at La Masía

Martí Vila, Enric Daví and Albert Moratalla will join the formative football

The Barça Academy is still a basis today for training the rising talent of both coaches and players, and a valuable source of new blood at La Masía. An official list has just been published of the coaches who will be forming part of the different youth teams in the 2020-21 season, and three of the new faces are arriving from the Barça Academy project: Martí Vila, Enric Daví and Albert Moratalla.

The planning for the new season, which is being supervised by the assistance manager of the club and academy’s Methodology department, Isaac Guerrero, is once again committed to recruiting home-groomed talent who have plenty of years of background in the Barça playing style and values.

The coach from the Barça Academy PRO New York, Martí Vila, is leaving the Big Apple to become the second coach of the U12B team with Jordi Pérez; meanwhile, Enric Daví, who has spent the last few seasons overseeing the biggest Barça Academy program of all, that of the Barça Academy Warsaw before becoming coordinator of U12 teams at Barça Escola will now be the second U12D coach team with Juan Antonio Gil, and the current Local project Director (DPL) of Barça Academy Austin, Albert Moratalla, will be taking over the U10C team in conjunction with Mario Jordano, having also gathered experience managing the schools in China, India and the United States.
