Port Aventura World is one of the most popular family vacation spots in Europe, and since it opened 23 years ago, it has welcomed over 80 million visitors. In such a fine location, and so close to Barcelona, the resort runs four thematic 4-star hotels and one 5-star hotel (Port Aventura Hotels), with a total of 2,100 rooms and the Port Aventura Convention Centre with the capacity for up to 4,000 guests. It also has three golf courses, two of which were designed by Greg Norman and a beach club with direct access to the beach. Port Aventura World also has three theme parks: Port Aventura Park, Port Aventura Caribe Aquatic Park and Ferrari Land.

The 260 acre Port Aventura Park is divided into five thematic areas. As the park is on the shores of the Mediterranean, that is the theme that welcomes visitors, but after that they will also get the chance to explore the beautiful islands of Polynesia, the colorful vibrancy of Mexico, exotic China and the tough but fascinating Wild West.

There are 41 different rides for all ages and 40 different shows every day. There are also 47 different catering sites inspired by the cuisine of each of the thematic regions of the world and 44 shops selling fashion items and crafts, souvenirs, photographic mementoes, candy and even different articles connected with the Sesame Street characters.
